Today was Tay's first day in dance class! I don't think I could have been any prouder. My little girl was up and dressed by 8:30 a.m., even though class didn't even start until 10:30. She just couldn't wait and I have to admit that I was just as excited and nervous. I knew it could have gone one of two ways. She was either going to love it, or absolutely hate it and scream the whole time. Luckily, she loved it! I got to sit in and watch her first class and yes, I was the dorkiest mom in the room with my camera out the whole time. I was ELATED that she wasn't clingy or freaked out. She did pretty good at copying the teacher too, but every now and then shed spin off on her own and spin around in the corner like Julie Andrews on a hill top. My heart just melted while I watched her. When it was all done she said, "I want to do it again!" And tonight when we said our prayers she said, "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for my spins." I really hope she likes it as much next week when I'm not in the room with her. But I'm not going to worry about that. Tonight, I'm basking in the memory of Taylor in her pink leotard, with her hair pulled up in a bun, twirling around, shuffling, and looking like the happiest kid on the planet. There's nothing more I want from life than for my kids to be happy and today my heart felt like it could absolutely burst.
Video below. Taylor is the one in the hot pink leotard. Thanks to Grandpa and Aunt Deb for the shoes and gear!=)
