That time Corinne was high as a kite

I hate hospitals. I know nobody loves them, but after my long 10 day stay after Taylor was born I developed an absolute loathing for them. I know they're not resorts and nurses aren't maids, but man, there's very little done to make our local hospitals feel the least bit warm or comfortable. It's all just sterile and depressing. So I get nervous for even the simplest out patient procedure, which we had AGAIN yesterday with Corinne and her poor little ears. She is such a brave kid. She was fine up until they had to take her away, at which point I felt like I was betraying her as I played it off like it was no big deal so she wouldn't get upset. Really I just wanted to scream at the nurse- "THAT IS MY HEART THAT YOU'RE WHEELING AWAY TO SURGERY. PLLLLLEEEASSSEEE BRING YOUR A GAME!!!"

Waking up from anesthesia didn't go as smoothly as it did the last time we were there. She woke up unconsolable and crying that her ears hurt. It was awful not being able to comfort her.  She was high as a kite and talking crazy, so we just brought her home and took care of her the same way you would a drunk person. Sometimes it was funny when she'd go on a tirade about how the doctor "DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING! SHE JUST PUT COTTON IN MY EARS AND MADE IT WORSE!"  But it wasn't funny at all when she cried and complained that her ears really hurt and she needed a snuggle. About 3 hours after the surgery, she was herself again.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that we don't see the inside of a hospital again for a very long time.

I like the kids I work with. They're pretty fun.

Two hits at her game!!

They're nutty

Found some old pictures on a Photo Bucket account. Corinne has been a little gymnastics kid for a long time.

Spring break-ing the bank

A stay-cation is really just as expensive as a real getaway, as we found out last week during Spring Break. But it's all good and we had a really great time! I find the older these little buggers get, the more fun they are to hang around with. We went rock climbing, miniature golfing, hit up Magic Mountain (we're on to the crazy rides and out of Bugs Bunny World), and hung out with our friends at the beach. Fun was had by all.

Two hour softball practices. My favorite!!! =/

Mother Daughter Tea Party

The longer you make us wait, the more medical supplies I steal. Going in for ear tubes yet again.

Oh, this little bean.

A girl after my own heart.

This was the same afternoon she got Myositis and couldn't walk for 3 days. Ugh.

We have the best Village. Lisa gave us dinner twice. I'll be eternally greatful.
Photography Club display for Open House.

Trying to sell wool with my voice.
