Grandpa The Great

For Corinne's 2nd birthday, we took her to where most toddlers go to celebrate....VEGAS BABY!! And after she hit up a few casinos and clubs, we went to visit my grandpa or Grandpa The Great, as he's now being referred to. I think the title fits him quite nicely.

We had to make it a quick trip this time around, but the kids had a great time playing hide and go seek and running around Grandpa The Great's house like they owned the joint. When we got there, they went straight up to the room I remember staying in as a kid and claimed it as their own. They had a blast at the Children's museum, and Taylor enjoyed watching "Ice Age" with great grandpa as well. Taylor really didn't want to leave. She was a little peeved with us as we drove away. My little traveler can get comfortable anywhere, and she had a few more things on her to-do list like the Mandalay Bay aquarium, and the cool park around the corner from great grandpa's house. But she's been promised that we'll make another trip to Vegas this year without being so rushed. Since both kids were awesome during the car ride to and from Vegas, I'm not as apprehensive to make the trip there again.
Below are pictures of different things we've been up to. I haven't blogged a lot lately because I figured nothing much was happening. Then I downloaded my pictures and realized I've just been too busy to blog! We've been going, going, going since Christmas. You'll never hear my kids saying, "I'm bored!"

Corinne

When I think of Corinne, I laugh. She is a sassy little spit fire with loads of attitude and spunk. She's normally running around in an over sized shirt, no pants, one butt cheek hanging out of her diaper, and her Gabba Gabba shoes on. Her hair is always disheveled and crazy, even though I try repeatedly throughout the day to put it up in pig tails. Taylor was almost always a very obedient child but we're finding Corinne to be.....spirited. She's always been a passionate little girl, and she's embracing her terrible twos with gusto. Time outs are a joke, and any smack on the hand is greeted with laughter. LAUGHTER! Taylor bawls her eyes out when she's in trouble, but Corinne can't keep a straight face. I have to admit, it's one of the things that we love about her so much. She's feisty. Feisty and adorable and I love her more than I can say. She's always been very affectionate and loving, despite being sort of a brute. Right after biting my shoulder, she'll apologize and kiss me with great sincerity. She's a klutz and a dare devil as well. Bouncing off of walls (literally), and jumping off of anything and everything. She loves her family and Taylor is her absolute best friend. When I catch them playing together and laughing, it makes me happier than anything else in this world.

At 2 years old, Corinne is a talker and loves the sound of her own voice. At home, she never stops talking or singing (and whining). I love listening to her belt out a song with her speech impediment, which makes it even cuter. She can count to 17 and knows all her colors, yellow being her favorite. She has a definite opinion about what she wears too. Always having a say in what I put on her. Her favorite games are hide and seek and finding monsters. She plays with my ears when she's tired, and hates sleeping in her crib. Daddy can do no wrong in her eyes, and from 4 o'clock on, she's waiting for him to walk in the door.

People used to stop me when she was a baby to tell me how unbelievably cute she was. Fat and rolly, with the prettiest little smile. She continues to grow into a beautiful little girl and we're so lucky to have her in our family.

PS- Wouldn't normally post video of my kids in the bath, but I always catch her singing in there.
