Fall Break

I'll admit it. When I saw the words "Fall Break" on the calendar, I was a little scared. A week of vacation normally means we either a.) spend a lot of money trying to keep ourselves busy, or b.) stay at home to save money and drive each other crazy. Luckily, I have friends who had the same concerns and we pulled together a pretty awesome week of fun and mostly free activities.

Free aerobics + free music makers class for the kids at church + free picnic at church after aerobics + free zoo day with season pass + free FHE in the park +free day at Noah's Ark exhibit at the Skirball + free visit to the library +decorated the house for Halloween= $50 in gas money. I'd say we made out pretty well, and the girls and I had so much fun with our friends!

Wes and I also had two days away in Palm Springs for the Gas Co. softball tournament. His team won the first two and lost the last two. It was fun cheering him on and being the team photographer. There was an exhibit game that we were chosen from the crowd to participate in, and I won $20 and a shirt after walking around blindfolded on the field while marines yelled out which way to go. lol. Those marines sure have a sense of humor. Wes had to throw a ball out of the park from third base, and was SO close.

We went to dinner our last night there and ate a four course meal, uninterrupted, which never happens and we enjoyed every second. Can't wait until next year!
