Thanks Easter Bunny! Bawk, bawk.

I am a "glass half empty" kind of girl. I'm always, always, waiting for the bottom to drop out. It's a horrible habit and one I've tried hard to change without any success. This week, I had to FORCE myself to just appreciate some of the blessings being thrown our way. It's good. It's all good. These things won't be taken away from us. They WILL be good for us. Everything is good. There's no reason to doubt that and every reason to trust, appreciate, and enjoy these things. Just enjoy them, damnit.

It's been a good week. (I get the jitters saying that out loud, because that's typically when the universe says, "Oh, you're happy? Well try this on for size!" And cue incurable virus or identity theft.)

Wes got the promotion he interviewed for a few weeks ago. I'm so proud of him! He has worked his way up the ladder, rung by rung. He's a go getter, a hard worker and pretty darn smart. He starts in a few weeks and will be working out of the tower in LA. But he has a company car and other perks that come with moving on up. It's been fun watching him go from a meter reader, to teacher, to construction tech, to management, and now this.

Corinne had a good week too. The same day Wes heard about his promotion, Corinne was asked to go into the invite-only class at gymnastics for ages 6 and up. It's a class that gets the kids ready for competition and it's twice a week, for three hours. Of course it's more money, but we're checking it out this week to see if it's something we really want to invest in. But she loves going so much and is really fearless, so it may be her nitch. We'll find out.

And Taylor enjoyed some of the Pollard luck this week too. She won 2nd place in a creative writing contest at school. She got a big red ribbon and was so excited. I went to the assembly with Wes, Corinne and Grandma, and we had to wait until the very end of the assembly before they announced the winners. It was suspenseful. I chewed the nail off my thumb. She was so proud of herself and it was so heart warming to see that look of pride and happiness on her face. She was a little disappointed she didn't win first, but I think it lit a fire under her toosh when she saw that the first place winner got a trophy. Not a bad thing if it sparks a little competitiveness in her. But regardless, it was awesome and we couldn't be prouder of her.

Easter came and went as fast as any other holiday, and so begins spring break. But we enjoyed a primary Easter egg hunt, breakfast at Grandma's, and the afternoon at Nana's. Taylor and Corinne loved their treats. Taylor loudly exclaimed, "O...M...G!" when she saw her loot.

What holiday is next? Halloween? I dunno. I'm all holidayed out, that's for sure
My nephew, Cael. He hates the camera, but man o man is he cute when he decides you're allowed to take a picture
The cousins.
Not one of my kids, but our little friend Andi. I love viewing pictures and finding a gem like this one, without editing!

You can't see it but it says, "I love my grandma and grandpa, love Taylor." And of course it also says "poop" somewhere on there too.
Ma with Avery, my new niece.
Grandma, Ma and Pa with the monkeys.

My nephew who crawls and pulls up to a stand at 5 months. My sister is in for it! But I love this little guy so much.

The girls looked so pretty in their Easter dresses from Nana. Accessories and all.

Wes hid Easter eggs and the girls loved finding them.

Grandpa giving the kids directions on the Easter egg hunt.

I love this girl.
This is what I get lately as a pose. Diva.
